Chelsea C. MacDonald

About the Author
Chelsea C. MacDonald grew up in the coastal town of Scituate, Massachusetts, where much of her large family still resides today. Surrounded by rocky shorelines, salt air, old New England history, and the ever-present Atlantic, Chelsea found an early love for storytelling and dreamed for years of someday seeing her own name on the cover of a novel.
She has always been drawn to the darker and more mysterious corners of life—the macabre, the unexplained, and, perhaps most of all, the complexities of human behavior. Her fascination with people and what drives them naturally found its way into her writing, where secrets, motives, relationships, and the things people try desperately to hide often sit at the heart of the story.
Chelsea also has a lifelong fascination with human anatomy and an unapologetic appreciation for skeletons and all things slightly morbid—a combination that makes writing about murder considerably more enjoyable than it probably should be.
When she isn’t dreaming up fictional crimes, suspicious characters, and the occasional dead body, Chelsea is a mother to two incredible children who provide a constant and much-needed source of laughter. Their daily comedic relief keeps her grounded while she spends entirely too much time inside an otherwise all-consuming bubble of murder, mystery, and death.
An Unwoven Truth is her debut novel—a story born from her love of mystery, her fascination with human nature, and the coastal Massachusetts town that has always been a part of her story.
